PRESIDENT
CAREERS
The Careers team is responsible for bringing to life events, interview prep groups, and resources for Wharton students interested in Tech careers. We help others identify career paths in tech and serve as the main source of career resources for members. Applicants should be proactive and have a strong interest in helping others achieve their recruiting goals. Prior experience navigating tech recruiting is a plus but not required.

COMMUNITY
The Community team plans events to help students build relationships and find mentors / mentees within the Tech Club community. We host large group and small group events throughout the year ranging from club-wide happy hours to small group dinners and board socials.

MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS
The Marketing & Communications team is responsible for overseeing the Tech Club’s internal and external media and communications channels. This role will support member engagement and knowledge through frequent, timely and clear internal communications (eg. Club newsletter, Slack, GroupMe) and increase awareness of Wharton’s large and growing tech community through external channels (website, social media).
What we do:
Curate and organize weekly newsletter and other email blasts
Manage website, Campus Groups, and social media pages
Own and drive social media marketing, strategy and content
Market the Tech Club at Wharton and to other parties (companies, prospective students)
Own club brand strategy

MEMBER EDUCATION
The Member Education committee is responsible for educating the Tech Club community about tech sub-sectors, trends, and current events. We bring thought leaders, industry executives, and educators to share their experiences and guidance for students looking to build a career in tech. We frequently collaborate with faculty, MBACM and other clubs to organize educational programming for Tech Tuesdays.

TECH TOKS
Wharton Tech Toks creates a space for bold, forward-looking tech discussions that enlighten and inspire. Partnering with other Wharton clubs and Tech Club committees, we aim to provide an opportunity to explore topics across the tech industry for both the Wharton Community and beyond.

FINANCE & SPONSORSHIPS
The Finance & Sponsorships team is responsible for managing the Tech Club’s day-to-day finances as well as supporting the long-term financial viability of the Club. We help secure sponsorships to support the Club’s activities.
What we do
Develop sponsorship packages and identify potential sponsors for the Tech Club
Manage budget, expenses, reimbursements and other treasurer activities
Stay apprised of budget status; forecast budget shortfalls and surpluses

TECH CONFERENCE
Tech Conference is a marquee event hosted by Tech Club in November. This day of intensive programming introduces Wharton community to emerging tech trends and career paths through speaker sessions and panel discussions with students, alumni and executives. Tech Conference serves as a platform for knowledge sharing and networking in the tech industry. Organized in collaboration with other clubs and MBACM, Tech Week has sessions such as:

TREKS
